Definition of One Pair in Poker

When 2 cards are of the same rank and none of the rest of the cards in a hand are useful, a player has a One Pair hand.

When 2 players are in a showdown and both hold a One Pair, the higher valued pair wins. If they tie, the rest of their cards are compared in descending order of value.
