Monotone
Monotone is a poker term used to describe flop or board textures in Texas Holdem. A monotone flop is a flop that contains three cards of the same suit. For example, Ah-Kh-Th is a monotone flop.
Monotone boards are difficult to play because you’re worried your opponent flopped a flush or straight flush. When you bet a monotone flop and get called, you can’t be sure whether your opponent is calling with a made flush or is chasing the flush.
