Definition of Middle Position
At a poker table, the fourth to seventh positions to the left of the button is called middle position. Your position is better than early position at the table, but you still are acting without the benefit of knowing how your hand stacks up against all of other players still left to act.
In most situations, you can open up your range and open raise a few more hands like AJ, A10, 1010, 99, 88 and 77. Your position is not the best, but by playing stronger hands, you can minimize the effect of weak position. By raising you will get to isolate the pot against one or two players and might very well have position on them after the flop.
